Intermittent Fasting: Day 7 (HUGE LOSS!) and Week 1 Results!

Although I went to bed slightly later than normal, I woke up at 6am full of energy and mental clarity.  So I avoided getting up about 30 minutes, then finally just got up.

Overall, I had a wonderful day.  I was rather hungry all morning long from the time I woke up, and I suspect that has a lot to do with my episode of overeating last night.  Lots of sugar before bed always turns into excess hunger the next day, whether I am "dieting" or "IFing" or not!

TOTAL FASTING HOURS:
  • From last night (30 minutes after last meal), until today's break = 16 Hours

FOOD & ACTIVITY LOG

8:00am - 12pm
  • Black Chai Tea

12:00pm
  • Green Smoothie:  1 Heaping TBSP Raw cashew butter, collard greens, almond milk (original, not unsweetened), 1 date, 1 half green banana, 1 kiwi.
    • Its funny, these smoothies are getting sweeter to me because the bananas are ripening.  The first smoothie was made with a hard-to-peel green banana.

  • Salad:  Mixed greens, chioggia beet, herbed goat cheese, smoked salmon, basil olive oil, balsamic vinegar, fresh cracked pepper
    • Again, my salad tasted "OFF THE HOOK".  It seems that IF has the positive effect of the foods tasting so much better.  Even the lettuces tasted more pleasant to me, and I've been buying the same organic mixed greens blend.

5:15pm

Went out to dinner to a Persian Restaurant, one of my favorites!  You basically can eat healthy, without realizing it.  I regret not getting a photo.  Although it seems I am listing a lot of food, I was only able to eat 1/4 of my plate!  I was very saddened, but will have lunch for tomorrow.

  • 2 Meat Kabobs:  1 Chicken & 1 House made beef (85% ground beef with proprietary blend of spices).
  • 1 Vegetable Kabob:  Tomato, onion, mushroom, zucchini
  • Rice made with dried lemon peel and saffron
  • Salad:  Romaine lettuce, cucumber, tomato, house oil/spice dressing
  • Bread and Butter
  • House made tandoori sauce:  Spinach, garlic, mint, jalapeno
  • Bite of son's homemade cherry icecream
  • Bite of Husband's homemade baklava
I had every intention of getting a dessert, but I got so full so fast eating my meal that I knew it wouldn't be the right decision. Learned my lesson from YESTERDAY!
